We always aim to clean your rug fully before shipping it to you, but just like any new jumpers or blankets, new rugs are also susceptible to some fluffing when it's first laid down. This is due to the compression of excess yarn during the creation process but is easily vacuumable.
We highly recommend that you vacuum your rug regularly to ensure that it stays in top condition. By following a regular vacuuming routine, you will prevent dirt from the surface of your rug from sinking down into the pile of the rug, where it could accumulate and eventually cause signs of wear and tear. When vacuuming it is advised to have the vacuum on the lowest setting.
